Lauren's interest in movement and living a healthy life began in her very early years when she started playing sports! Her drive and desire as an athlete in elementary and high school eventually led her to California and landed her a position as a pitcher for the St. Mary’s College of California Women’s Softball Team. The experience gained as a Collegiate Athlete and her education in Kinesiology made her curious about what she was going to do to stay active and healthy when she wasn’t playing softball anymore. As a result, Lauren’s passion for health and fitness launched her into the fitness industry after college where she began her career in personal training at a private health club. After three years of training, Lauren was promoted to Fitness Supervisor and then Fitness Manager. From there, Lauren’s love for working with clients, training small groups, and teaching classes led her to creating Train-for-Life in January 2014.
Over the last 11 years Lauren has not stopped learning, and her curiosity and passion for assisting clients in training-for-life has broadened her perspective on what health and fitness actually mean. Through the challenges with her own health, she has gained more appreciation for how fragile one’s body can be and the importance of becoming the expert of your own body. Lauren is currently integrating the Health Based Results Model with all of her clients and stresses the importance of putting yourself and your health first, as well as having compassion for yourself so that you can show up for your life fully present and with strength and pure joy

Erika, the youngest of three girls, was born and raised in Walnut Creek. In her family sports, fitness, and health were always a big part of their lives. Her father played tennis for De La Salle and went onto play for UNR in college, and always taught the importance of staying healthy and active. Her mother, who has a career in education, showed her the delight that can come from helping people empower themselves and overcome daily obstacles to get to a place where they can look back, and see their personal growth.
With that foundation, after graduating from college and thinking she would follow her mothers steps, Erika seamlessly blended together the satisfaction of education and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, becoming a Crossfit Level 1 certified coach and starting her path towards a career in personal training.
Since then she has continued to dedicate herself on various aspects of overall wellness, fitness, diet, and even more importantly – listening to her clients needs. Erika takes pride in listening to her client’s needs and wants; pushing and guiding them to achieve their personal health and fitness goals. She lives everyday to the fullest and believes that no goal is unreachable with a solid foundation and positive mind.
